Newton’s Law of Motion:



Newton’s laws of motion are of central importance in classical physics. A large number of principles
and result may be derived from Newton’s law. These laws have gone through, but are explained to
make them simple to apply.

Newton’s First Law Of Motion:



If the (vector) sum of all the forces acting on the particle is zero then and only then the particles remain
unaccelerated (It remains at rest if it is at rest, it remains in motion if it is in motion).
However the concept of rest and motion is meaningful only when the frame of reference is specified.



Newton’s Second Law of Motion:



The acceleration of a particle as measured from an inertial frame is given by the vector sum of all the
forces acting on the particle divided by its mass.
Mathematically :
Force applied on a body is directly proportional to the rate of change of momentum.
Conclusion: F=ma is derived from Newton’s Second Law of Motion.

Newton’s Third Law Of Motion:


If a body ‘A’ exerts a force F on the body ‘B’ then the same force but negative i.e -F is exerted by
‘B’ on A
In other words, Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

Conclusion : No force can exist independently. Force always exist in pairs.
